Psst. Want to see a dead corporation bite back? I woke up stabbed, amnesiac, and bankrupt. Then the day got worse. Seriously, can you imagine it? First there was a blood-craving, mind-hacking monster carrying a fragment of the Abyss, a hijacked Astral ship, and a lunar megacity directly in its path. Then came the Void-blasted angelic Inquisition. After that, I had to survive something even less forgiving: elven corporate law. And all of this landed on yours truly: Damien Ar-Mephistael, reserve Luminar of the Demon Slayer Order, legally recognized baron, and newly confirmed CEO of Evolvica, a lunar magitech corporation whose surviving assets consist mostly of valuable patents, dangerous secrets, and rubble. Well, of course, I have help: a nine-tailed Astral fox with strong opinions and engineering tendencies, an angelic researcher who treats pain as diagnostic data, and a sarcastic System with numerous demands and the attitude of a grumpy, jealous wife. Ugh. I am still trying to determine whether any of this actually qualifies as help or merely as additional complications. So, burdened with all this baggage, suffering from amnesia and a complete zeroing, I am apparently expected to revive my dying corporation, reclaim my heretic legacy, unravel a couple dozen ancient secrets, and save a couple of civilizations along the way. This is kingdom-building with patents instead of farmland, factories instead of castles, Astral ships instead of cavalry, and lawyers instead of siege engines. The lawyers are worse. To all hostile parties: Evolvica is not dead. It is undergoing aggressive restructuring.
