Opening up a Magic Academy at the End of the World

Book 1's tl;dr: Follow a transgender street rat in becoming a powerful mage in a secretive magic academy at the end of the world. As Sanya learns about the magic system, encounters troublesome individuals, and beats up monsters from another world, while she navigates her identity towards self-acceptance with what she has and who she is. Also, tumultuous lesbian romance that's (maybe) wholesome. Then there's Aisha, a tired temporal mage keeping a world-ending storm at bay, who wants to stop being cooped up and go adventuring. Unfortunately it reveals dangerous secrets and helps to ignite her little spark of regicidal tendencies. Featuring: ☆ Queer characters! A lot. Trans MC without a magical transition. Lots of lesbians. One enby that disappears and another that kinda gets sidelined, oops. ☆ Unique and interesting world-building, maybe? A scorched and wasted aboveground. Cavernous magical school. ☆ Magic that is hopefully well-structured. Classes and eventually professions (mostly in mention only, the characters are all mages). No litrpg system.  ☆ No harem. No poly. Important Notes:  ☆ Transgender MC. Being trans comes up a lot. If you don't like this for whatever reason, then don't read. ☆ The book gets ~freaky~ at times but never enough for the sexual content tag. One chapter in book 2 has a fade-to-black and a non-descriptive scene. ☆ Asterisk on the sensitive content tag. There are few in-chapter content warnings (sorry! I'll get to it . . . eventually). Mentions of self-harm. Dysphoria. Bullying. Mentioned/implied child murder/sacrifice. Violence and gore. Suicidal thoughts and attempts. ☆ I wouldn't consider book 1 a tragedy but book 2 is. The yuri is safe in book 1. ☆ No AI! ☆ This book is entirely a rough draft. ☆ Cover made by me with random supposedly royalty-free images from Pixabay together in Google Slides. ☆ Also on Scribble Hub. It should only be found in these two places.

Mid-pack, room on both levers

Traffic and conversion both sit mid-field for a story this size. Growth here compounds from consistency: steady cadence feeds traffic, and a sharper hook lifts what each view is worth.

At this conversion, the Drama Rising Stars bar (≈1 new followers/day) costs about 582 views/day — the story currently gets ~96.

Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 50–149 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
