Of Crimson and Ash

History of Karya, the mercenary, a vampire who struggles to find herself in the world of humans, trying to fit into it. Across the story, she will try to justify in many ways, why exactly she's different, while also trying to find herself a place where she'd be welcome. Very few friends, even fewer allies, but a lot of dangers.  Observe how her story moves from place to place, in a fairly classic dark fantasy format, where the realism and magic have an uneasy balance. She will traverse across lands, settlements, and wilderness to find a goal worthy of following, or a place to call home. Discover Karya's story in a first-person, journal-like format. I can promise: - Mixed-pace storytelling, - minimal POV switching, - 3 chapters a week (mon, wed, fri) With the coming of Writathon, the schedule will change to (hopefully) daily releases, monday through saturday. - worldbuilding information limited to the moment, without unnecessary lore dumping.
