Updates Thursdays Reconstruction advanced chapters available on my Patreon page, in full on ebook/PoD An epic science fiction trilogy that spans millennia, Valice is told from the perspective of seven different narrators who all come from different places and times. Of them, we follow Vincent Belfore through every era, and see this young man rise from an unassuming teenager into a galactic savior as humanity struggles to defeat a corrupt global empire, reach the stars, and finally begin to spread their domain across the cosmos. All the while, two universal forces larger than even the universe watch and manipulate from beyond the veil. And humanity doesn’t need to wonder if they’re alone, as they already share Earth with another species - and it’s one that they created. At the beginning of the series, the cat-like felile, developed to be soldiers, had already long ago escaped from the genetic laboratories on Mars and have been living in hiding ever since, waiting and fighting for the day when they’ll be accepted. Until then, they have a home in the mysterious floating city of Valice, a structure unlike anything humans have built. Because they didn’t create it. As centuries go by, the foe changes from an oppressive empire, to a greedy megacorporation, and then to a galactic-quadrant-wide religion with deeply dangerous motives. Starting from small and familiar places, the universe expands into grand space opera territory as starships do battle and science touches the fire of Prometheus. But among the sweeping scope are human (and felile) stories of heroism and the fight for a better future. Features: Rebellion, subterfuge, cross-species interactions, sci-fi cityscapes, dystopia, light cyberpunk elements, flying cars, holographic interfaces, plasma weapons, spaceships, light and dark “magic,” threads of cosmic horror, powers beyond our comprehension, robotics, mysteries, global politics, familial love, power-hungry villains, and cats. Valice I & II were the first and fourth books I ever wrote. They read like traditional novels and have rich, sometimes heavy storytelling. I've split longer chapters in half for easier reading. Valice III is more modern and refined. One day, I will probably revise the first two yet again. valice.net for more information and purchase links, as well as cool stuff like timelines, art, and cast pages.
