Jannet was the perfect 1950s-style housewife, living in the year 2024. Submissive to her domineering father and husband, her days revolved around keeping up appearances and suppressing her true self. But when she discovers her husband’s infidelity and voices her frustration for the first time, her world is shattered—literally. Betrayed and murdered by the very men who controlled her, Jannet’s life ends with a cruel, final blow. But death isn’t the end. Jannet wakes up in a new existence, trapped inside the egg of a Komodo dragon in a savage, unfamiliar world that seems ripped straight from a video game. As she emerges, she realizes her second chance comes with a daunting twist: in this world, survival is earned through blood and cunning. Guided by an RPG-like system displaying her stats, skills, and evolution progress, Jannet—now reborn as a male hatchling—must adapt to her new life. Facing vicious siblings, a deadly nest filled with carnage, and a brutal environment without a mother’s protection, Jannet quickly learns this is a world where only the strong survive. Determined to rise above the horrors of his new reality, Jannet must harness his instincts, unique skills, and a newfound drive for independence. No longer bound by societal expectations, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery, battling monsters and memories alike. Along the way, he’ll face moral dilemmas, unlock extraordinary abilities, and uncover the truth about this strange world—and perhaps, the reason for his reincarnation. My New Life as a Komodo Dragon on the Human Borderlands is a gripping LitRPG tale of survival, growth, and the struggle to reclaim one’s sense of self in a world where every decision could mean the difference between life and death. Will Jannet succumb to the primal instincts of his new form, or will he evolve into something greater than either life allowed him to be?
