This world is not for the furtives. Dragons rule the skies from their floating palaces. Giants dominate the land. Leviathans claim the seas. For the furtives who live beneath them, fighting back isn't an option. Survival is. Corin and Livia have gotten rather good at it. The husband-and-wife scavengers make their living searching for whatever falls from the dragon palaces drifting high above their island home. Steel. Dragon glass. Strange devices. Anything Livia can turn into something useful, and anything that might make tomorrow a little easier than today. Then something much bigger falls from the sky. A massive piece of a dragon's palace crashes near their home. For Corin and Livia, the wreckage promises the greatest haul of their lives. Enough to change everything. So they go looking. They should have left it alone. Inside the fallen palace is something they don't understand. And they aren't the only ones looking for it. Soon, Corin and Livia must leave behind the only life they've ever known and venture into a world where the Titans are far from the only things they need to fear. Because something has been hidden from the furtives for a very long time. And some secrets were never meant to be found.
