[Winner of the Royal Road writathon challenge April 2024] Alexander Ortega is an outlaw, a man wanted by the Military Police in a world of islands interconnected by the nightsea. That's what the papers say, anyway. Really, he's a man from Buenos Aires who woke up on a beach after being consumed by a blinding bright light. He journeys for only one purpose: to find a way back to his home. Whether fighting mistwalkers, other outlaws, soldiers, or the Scions themselves, he strives to survive to see his world again. Follow along as he joins together with other outlaws, each one drawn from a different world and thrown into the nightsea in a struggle to survive. Will Alex find his way home? Traffic is strong, but conversion trails comparable stories. The usual suspects are the blurb, the cover and the opening chapters — fixing the hook multiplies everything the existing traffic brings.
