Ad Astra

Astra, a strangely upbeat and optimistic orphan, has been doing her best to survive by mining for precious gems and metals in the asteroid field surrounding the mining colony she calls home. She wishes for more, just like everyone else, but life isn’t always fair. She was born without any cultivation talent, and while others can easily gather the elemental qi throughout the universe to empower themselves, she’s unable to surpass even the most basic level.  Fate has strange ways of working its way through the universe, however; and Astra soon finds her old dreams of cultivation possible once more after finding a treasure hidden out in the seemingly infinite nothingness of space. With her life changed forever, she sets out on a long journey of conflict, self discovery, and cultivation as she makes her way to the stars. *** Just like Astra's journey has a start, this story was my start to writing. My writing has vastly improved over the years, and just as I hope you wont look down on Astra when she's weak at the beginning of her journey; I hope you'll give me the same consideration. After all, the Dao of Writing is its own path, and this story is a record of my journey on that path. As such, Its unlikely (but not impossible) that i'll go back and change the early parts of the story for content or writing quality.
