Jonathan Slate was a Marine, a politician, and a man who knew how to take power. Now, he's a parasite.Stranded in a magical wilderness with a body barely fit to survive, Slate discovers that everything he kills can become something more valuable than a meal. Claws. Venom. Armor. Every predator carries the means to build a better one. And Slate has no intention of remaining at the bottom of the food chain. The Scourge Wars is a dark fantasy LitRPG featuring biological evolution, ruthless conquest, faction building, visceral combat, and a calculating protagonist with a very dry sense of humor. Returning readers: This is a substantial rewrite of the original series, with expanded worldbuilding, deeper characters, reworked progression, and a story given more room to develop. Familiar events may unfold very differently, so start from the beginning. And the story will continue. Book 4 is on the way.
