Aliens invade earth, and find humanity to be ...annoyed? Follow Mia, the alien catgirl protagonist, as she discovers the truth about the humans, those strange and powerful newcomers to the galactic scene. This story is a thought experiment: "What if every dumb trope, bizarre coincidence, and ridiculous alien design in sci-fi actually had a sensible explanation behind it?" Humans are fully aware that humanoid aliens are unrealistic. And yet, Mia exists. Of course, from her perspective it's the humans that are completely absurd. This story a self-aware action adventure and romantic comedy that explores serious questions in a humorous manner. It is soft sci-fi on the surface, but all the strangeness actually has a good reason behind it. The aliens appear quite human-like, but they are actually genuinely alien in ways that will become clear over the course of the story. I am not planning to have any lewd scenes in this story, but it certainly goes in a direction where they would practically write themselves. Content note: contains playful use of gender tropes, references to slavery, and other sensitive themes approached with humor but explored seriously later on.
