The city was already broken. It just hadn't spoken yet. Limina is two cities sharing one river. West: checkpoints, propaganda, and a government that never sleeps. East: underground clinics, safe houses that move every three days, and a resistance running out of time. Between them: the Marga, and everyone willing to cross it. Four stories. Four people who never asked to be heroes. A guilt-ridden hotel keeper who hasn't opened a dead man's notebook in five years.A medic who chose the resistance over the woman he loved, and still isn't sure he chose right.A teenage courier who wants to matter, even if it kills her.A neutral fixer who takes one last job and finds himself running from both sides of a war he swore not to join. Their paths don't cross yet. But they will. Before The City Spoke is the prequel to the Limina series, a slow-burn psychological thriller about betrayal, survival, and the cost of caring in a city that stopped forgiving a long time ago. Some cities fall quietly. This is how Limina fell first.
