JACKDAWS REVENGE

What would you become if the gods took everything from you and gave you two thousand years to live with it? Oseer Boros was never meant to have an ordinary life. Having his parents taken from him as an infant by a mysterious deity, he is raised among a people devoted to one of the world's great dragons. For the first time, he finds a place to call home. But at just eight years old, he watches it all disappear. Left to survive in the wilderness, Oseer spends years alone until a traveling merchant takes him in. For three years, the man gives him something he has never known: a reason to live beyond mere survival. He teaches Oseer how to cook, how to laugh, and how to find joy in the simplest things. Through stories of distant kingdoms and a terrifying figure known as the Chaos King, he opens Oseer's eyes to a world far greater than his own. Then, at fifteen, Oseer loses him, too. With nothing left to lose, Oseer sets out on a path of vengeance. His pursuit leads him into a world of ancient kingdoms, colossal dragons, forgotten creatures, and deities whose powers dwarf humanity. He challenges them, only to discover how insignificant a single mortal can be against the forces that shape existence. Defeated, he is cast into an abyss. Two thousand years pass before Oseer returns to a world he no longer recognizes. Magic has all but vanished, the ancient gods have faded into legend, and civilization has moved on, oblivious to the forces that once ruled it. But Oseer remembers everything. Driven by the same vengeance that consumed him centuries ago, he begins hunting those responsible for his suffering. Yet the abyss has left its mark. His instincts have changed. His power has evolved. Even as his understanding of the world—and himself—has begun to unravel.  He seeks to uncover the truth buried beneath his memories, as he faces dangers far more unsettling than anything he could ever have imagined. The boy who entered the abyss is gone. What emerged may be something else entirely. Oseer returned for his revenge. But before he can claim it, he must discover what two thousand years of darkness have made him.
