Tokyo has turned into a hellscape overrun by "Smiles"—monsters immune to firearms, vulnerable only to the blade. Yet this was no sudden catastrophe. The "King of Smiles" had been lurking in Japan since the Heian period a thousand years ago, patiently awaiting the precise moment to usurp the nation. "The time for harvest has come. We shall make this island nation our new nest." At the King's command, an all-out assault begins. Humanity, on the brink of extinction, has only one hope left: Noah Haiga. A youth carrying the "Factor of the King" within his heart. An immortal King with a thousand-year legacy versus humanity. An end-game war bridging an unfathomable span of time begins now.
