For young, 10-year-old Besa Emory, school was never just school. It was a daily battle, one that consisted of tyrants, the unbalance of power, and social divisions. The only good thing was that Besa was more on the top of the food chain than the bottom of it, unlike some of her more unfortunate peers. Ever since the Great Divide, where Besa's best friend--Raish Kelley--took complete social domination of the grade when they were in 3rd grade, everyone lives in constant fear of him and his so-called "generals," the Higher-Ups, which by the way, Besa is part of. Now, in fifth grade, a couple of the students secretly decide to revolt against Raish and become the Rebel Rampage. Once Raish catches wind of this, he appoints Besa to investigate further and stop it at once. But somewhere in Besa's heart, she feels like she wants to join too. How can she fight for what is right while trying to stay loyal to her best and first friend, all while being under the risk of being put under a red notice by a king who didn't deserve his throne? And is this just a regular, irregular elementary school experience?
