Kael is seventeen, broke, and trying to stay alive in a city built over the ruins of a forgotten age. Beneath the city, he finds a black door marked with nine ancient symbols. He remembers touching it. He doesn't remember leaving. Now people he has never met know his name, memories are beginning to contradict each other, and someone is searching for him—not for the treasure beneath the ruins, but for what Kael may have forgotten. In Elysia, reality is governed by nine ancient Laws: Life, Death, Time, Memory, Order, Freedom, Truth, Dream, and Void. And some things were buried for a reason.
