It’s not the job of a seasoned bounty huntress like Janet to ferry passengers around the skim of the universe. It’s not even a good place for passengers, period. The roaming thugnoks, bandibots, and piral trappers, not to mention the Mantorian outcasts that fund the criminally adjacent sector, levy heavy tolls on those who traverse their systems. In the best of times, a ship like the Skirmish paid their dues or snuck through with a token bribe, but not today. This time, the bounty was on Janet, and the whole universe was looking to cash in all because a dead woman wouldn’t just die already.
