Eric died at home. No prophecy, no heroic sacrifice, and not even time to say goodbye. When he opens his eyes again, he is Uller, a newborn in Aeonia, a world unknown to him, surrounded by people speaking languages he has never heard and magic that clearly follows rules no one intends to explain. The problem is, he still remembers everything. The mother he left behind. The dog. The computer. His own name. So Uller does what he has always done best: he observes, learns, deconstructs things in his mind, and tries to figure out how that world works before it figures something out about him. At first, the plan is simple: grow up, understand Aeonia, and survive. It doesn't take long for Aeonia to ruin that plan. Because the more he learns about magic, blood, and the people around him, the harder it becomes to tell where the person he used to be ends and the person he is becoming begins.
