I was just an ordinary guy. I went to sleep at night, and by morning I woke up in a godforsaken desert. Then some terrifying voice told me I was the heir to history’s first murderer and that I had to take part in a deadly game between gods. —Seriously, it wasn’t even morning yet. It told me right at midnight, so I couldn’t even get a proper night’s sleep! And now here I am—a guy who couldn’t even be bothered to hang out with the friends I didn’t have—stuck trying to survive in a fantasy world surrounded by a bunch of self-righteous heroes who think they’re justice incarnate. Oh, wonderful. Exactly the life I always dreamed of. —Well, obviously not, of course! I never dreamed of this much hard work, never!
