Sanchez Javier and the Siriuan Fourteen-year-old Sanchez Javier expects his school to be ordinary—until a mysterious spacecraft crashes into the woods beyond his school. When Sanchez investigates the wreckage, he discovers Kroshia, a teenage girl from the star Sirius. She looks almost human, except for the small horns on her head, pointed ears, and tail. Unable to speak their language and unwilling to explain how she came to Earth, Kroshia leaves Sanchez with more questions than answers. Sanchez secretly brings her inside, where his brilliant twin sister Maya helps him figure out how to communicate with her. Along with their friends Kelly and Bryan, the twins attempt to keep Kroshia hidden while learning about her strange technology and discovering that she is far more important than they first realized. But their secret doesn't stay hidden for long. The Overwatch Agency begins searching for Kroshia. Sanchez and his friends don't know why they want her, only that they are willing to go to extraordinary lengths to find her. As the search closes in, the group is forced to move Kroshia from place to place while trying to uncover the truth about her arrival. What begins as one boy discovering a strange girl in the woods becomes a dangerous journey involving alien technology, agency forces, unfamiliar civilizations, and secrets that reach far beyond Earth. Sanchez soon realizes that protecting Kroshia may mean stepping into a world he never knew existed—and that her arrival could be the beginning of something much bigger than any of them are prepared for.
