Koa's entire life has been spent in his village. The world beyond is a mystery to him. His days are spent hunting and honing his ability to absorb the essence of the plants and creatures around him. When a warlord from far beyond attacks the village, Koa's world is torn apart. He sets off with his best friend, Enzo, on a dangerous path of revenge, fighting his way up the food chain to survive.
