Three years ago, Ren Takamori met a lonely girl during a school trip to Kyoto. They exchanged names and promised that maybe they would meet again someday. Neither of them expected that promise to come true. Now in high school, Ren lives a quiet, ordinary life with his childhood best friend, Kaito. That changes when Aoi Mizuhara, a beautiful and shy girl from Kyoto, transfers into his class after her family moves to Tokyo. Everyone notices Aoi's beauty, but no one seems to notice how lonely she really is. After an unexpected meeting in the rain brings Ren and Aoi closer, the two begin discovering how much they have in common. What starts as a simple friendship slowly becomes something much more meaningful. But Aoi's arrival may be connected to a memory Ren thought he had forgotten. Sometimes, the most important person you meet isn't someone new. Sometimes, it's someone you've already met before.
