The Seer Chronicles - The First Seal

The First Seal Aria Carter has spent most of her life hiding what makes her different. A brilliant young mana researcher and recent university graduate, Aria possesses a secret ability no modern instrument can replicate: she can see mana itself - the invisible currents flowing through people, creatures, objects, and the world around her. She has no intention of becoming important. She wants a quiet life, a laboratory, and enough time to continue her research. Then a corrupted direwolf attacks the city. What begins as a strange incident soon becomes something far more dangerous. Aria discovers that corrupted mana is moving in patterns that should be impossible, while ancient records reveal disturbances surrounding a mysterious site protected for centuries by the powerful Silvermoon Pack. At the heart of that territory lies the First Seal. Everyone believes it is an ancient prison. Aria isn't convinced. Now she must uncover the forgotten knowledge behind the Seal before the people destroying it succeed - and before the corruption spreading through the world reaches a point that no one can undo.
