A cabin of fresh-hewn logs stands at the edge of a clearing, lost in an endless taiga. Inside lives something with no body, no memory and no name — only a face, and a universe of four walls. It calls itself a poltergeist. It keeps the house in order, watches the forest through the eyes of wolves and ravens, and punishes anyone who disrespects its domain. But it cannot remember who it was before, or why it is bound to this place. Only fragments return: a house on a riverbank, a freckled boy named Andrey, and the impossible suspicion that the boy was once him. Then a stranger crosses the threshold, leaves a dagger in the table, and speaks two words that change everything: "You are free." A ghost story told from the inside — where the monster is the narrator, and the only thing it wants is to remember what it has lost.
