Areron : Volume 1 [Beneath the Seal]

Ki-rin has spent most of his life believing the night his parents died was nothing more than a tragedy. Years later, he enters Stargold Royal Magic Academy, an elite institution where magical affinity, combat ability, and bloodline determine a student’s future. Surrounded by gifted young mages, powerful noble families, and rivals eager to prove themselves, Ki-rin appears to be another talented student trying to find his place. Alongside his companions Ralf, Arianna, and Frey, he begins navigating the dangers, rivalries, and expectations of academy life. But Ki-rin is hiding something even he does not fully understand. A mysterious power lies sealed within him, one that refuses to obey the known laws of magic. As his abilities begin to surface, Ki-rin realizes that losing control could expose something far more dangerous than his strength. Questions surrounding his parents’ deaths begin to resurface, while strange encounters and seemingly unrelated events suggest that the tragedy of his childhood may not have been as simple as he was led to believe. And the dangers awaiting Ki-rin will not remain within the walls of Stargold. As he grows stronger, Ki-rin is drawn into threats extending far beyond school rivalries and magical training. Demonic forces stir in the shadows, mysterious organizations pursue their own hidden agendas, and powerful figures across the kingdom begin moving toward conflicts he does not yet understand. Each new challenge forces Ki-rin and his friends into a world where survival cannot be decided by grades, rankings, or tournaments and where the enemies waiting beyond the academy may know more about Ki-rin than he knows about himself. The stronger Ki-rin becomes, the harder his power is to hide. And with every fracture in the seal inside him, he moves closer to a truth that has been buried since the day he was born. Ki-rin believes his greatest challenge is learning to control his power. He has yet to discover why it was sealed in the first place or who is waiting for it to awaken.
