The Exiled: Origin Recognized

The creature was faster than Theo Brooks. Stronger. Better armed.
It lost anyway, because it dropped its shoulder before every lunge, and Theo had noticed by the second one.
That's the whole trick. He sees the mistake before it happens. In a world governed by levels, classes, contracts, and a System that has an answer for almost everything, that should make him a competent Duelist and nothing more.
Except the System has no answer for him.
His class is recognizable. His progression isn't. Skills surface that should not exist. Equipment responds to him in ways the System cannot fully explain. And the deeper he pushes into corrupted territory, the more evidence he finds that the rules everyone relies on are not as complete as they appear.
The corruption spreading beyond the safe zones is dangerous enough. What Theo discovers beneath it is worse.
Records are missing. Ancient structures recognize things no one remembers. And enemies that should be random are behaving with purpose.
Every contract makes him stronger. Every answer reveals another inconsistency.
And somewhere inside the System, something has finally recognized where he came from.
A tense, procedural progression fantasy about an anomaly the System can't name, a corruption that already knows him, and the cost of finding out why.
