The Day Everything Stopped Alden Veyr had never been particularly interested in becoming anything. Born into a wealthy family, gifted with a mind he rarely bothered to use, he had spent years doing exactly what everyone around him hated most—nothing. Then the world changed. The power went out. The sky broke. And monsters appeared. What followed was not a game, nor a convenient second chance at life. The System gave humanity no explanation, no promise of safety, and only one simple instruction: Survive. With civilization beginning to fracture and creatures that should not exist roaming the streets, Alden is forced to confront a problem he has spent most of his life avoiding. He cannot afford to do nothing anymore. But surviving is only the beginning. The System has rules. The world has changed. And Alden intends to figure out both.
