The Beast Hunter Path Season 1 Ch-1 - The Introduction to Hero and Beasts From the outside, Hashimoto Menon lived what anyone would call a completely unremarkable, middle-class life. He was an ordinary college student, balancing his daily routine of lectures, study sessions, and quiet evenings at home. His world revolved around his tight-knit family: his playful younger brother, Hashimoto Kiyoshi, and his loving parents, Hashimoto Raiden and Hashimoto Mizuki. The household was filled with everyday warmth, shared dinners, and gentle laughter, giving every impression of absolute normalcy. Yet, behind this peaceful facade lay a dark, harrowing reality that neither Menon nor Kiyoshi could ever have imagined—a sinister secret kept hidden within the very walls of their home. Across Japan, life was defined by a strict, non-negotiable rule: under no circumstances did anyone step outside after 9:00 PM. As night fell, the streets emptied, doors were deadbolted, and a heavy, uneasy silence settled over every city and town. The public knew the curfew was essential for survival, for the darkness belonged to monstrous beasts that stalked the night, driven by an insatiable hunger for human flesh. Nearly a thousand of these terrifying creatures roamed the shadowy depths of the country, hunting in silence. But what the world did not know—and what Menon was entirely blind to—was that these creatures were led by an undisputed supreme ruler and queen: his own father and mother. While Menon and Kiyoshi slept soundly in their bedrooms, thinking their parents were asleep down the hall, Raiden and Mizuki’s true nocturnal nature awakened. Every night, as soon as the house fell still, the couple slipped out through the shadows unnoticed. They moved through the silent streets with terrifying grace, breaking into unsuspecting homes, slaughtering the humans inside, and feeding in the dark. Then, long before the sun began to rise, they would wipe away every trace of the night's slaughter and return home before 4:00 AM, quietly slipping back into their ordinary roles as caring parents before their sons ever opened their eyes
