For more than four centuries, humanity has lived beneath a dead sky.The sun is gone. Gloom floods the world, monsters grow stronger in the darkness, and cities survive behind failing Lanterns.
Kael Arden has never cared about saving the world. He only wants to save his mother. When her Gloom sickness worsens, Kael awakens a rare Class:
[Eclipse Forgemaster]
He discovers that he can forge weapons capable of capturing the Gloom left behind by slain monsters. Stored Gloom can be refined into Essence to help its wielder grow stronger—or burned directly for a massive burst of power. But every use brings corruption. A weak warrior can kill something far beyond his Rank. A desperate soldier can save a city and every victory comes with a price.
As Kael’s weapons spread, so do the consequences. Ancient ruins reveal forgotten truths, monsters continue to evolve, and something beyond the Lanterns is waiting in the dark.
Kael began forging to save one life.
Soon, he may have to decide how much he is willing to sacrifice to save the rest.
