The Original Disaster

THE ORIGINAL DISASTER Merlin Albert William was an ordinary boy. He was born into an ordinary family, lived an ordinary life, and had no prophecy waiting for him. No divine bloodline. No chosen destiny. Nothing that would make the world remember his name. He only had one thing he truly loved: learning. It started with a simple question. Why does 7 × 8 equal 56? A question that should have had a simple answer became the beginning of something far greater. As Merlin grows older, mathematics leads him to physics. Physics leads him to astronomy. Astronomy leads him to cosmology. And every answer only gives birth to another question. But the world he lives in is not as ordinary as he once believed. Ancient civilizations left behind impossible records. Mysterious symbols appear where they should not exist. Magic follows rules that no one fully understands. Gods watch from beyond the mortal world, while beings from places beyond reality begin to stir. And somewhere beyond everything he knows, there is a question even mathematics may not be able to answer: What lies beyond the world itself? Merlin does not seek to become a god. He does not seek power. He simply wants to understand. But sometimes, the person who spends his entire life trying to understand the world eventually discovers something terrifying— the world has been trying to understand him, too. From a boy solving his first equation to a man standing before gods, outer worlds, and the boundaries of existence, Merlin's journey will span continents, civilizations, wars, love, loss, and mysteries older than history itself. Because he was never chosen by the world. He simply refused to stop learning it. And perhaps that was the greatest mistake the world ever made. — ◇ — Official Author : Nikky_07 Original work first published on WebNovel.
