The Kingdom of Aldmere summoned five heroes, and Sam Ashdown, a stage understudy who was standing too close, just wants to be useful enough not to be thrown out. The heroes got [Blade Hero], [Sun Priestess], and [Storm Mage]. Sam got [Understudy], and ten days to prove himself before the chancellor ships him to the salt mines.
His class does one thing. When a hero in his party is knocked out or more than a hundred paces away, Sam can step into their class at half their level, using his own weak stats. The moment they wake up or walk back, the role leaves him, even mid-swing. So while the party is winning, Sam carries the bags. He is only strong when someone else has fallen.
The Tower of Aldmere does not care who was summoned by mistake, and it is very good at knocking heroes down. The show goes on.
