Oliver had finally decided to enjoy his life when he lost it. Waking up after surgery should have been good news. Instead, the hospital looks wrong, nothing quite adds up, and a secret medical experiment is beginning to sound like a perfectly reasonable explanation. Once he has time to think, however, Oliver does what he has always done: he makes a plan. Earn some money, put what he remembers to good use, and become independent enough to live however he pleases. He has already wasted one life preparing for a future he never got to enjoy. Unfortunately, the nun responsible for him has her own ideas about how he should spend his time. So does Bea, a girl who cannot hear a word he says but has remarkably little trouble putting him in his place. Between them, Oliver begins to build a life that matters to him far more than he expected. Learning music was supposed to be for a friend. Playing at the theatre was supposed to earn him a little money. Neither was supposed to attract the attention of people with very different plans for his future. Now Oliver has to consider whether being rich is worth being famous—and whether knowing what comes next is much help when he keeps changing it. He wanted a second chance at his own life.Somehow, Harry Potter keeps getting involved. What to Expect: A human MC. Oliver is neither a super-genius nor a psychopath who starts casually killing people the day after being reincarnated. He has morals, fears, doubts and flaws. He made mistakes in his first life, and he’ll make mistakes in this one too. Useful, but imperfect future knowledge. He remembers the kinds of things an ordinary person might remember about the next thirty years—not every stock price, lottery number or conveniently useful date. Realistic and mature relationships. Friendships, family and romance develop naturally over time. People have their own lives, feelings and motivations. They won’t simply love or follow Oliver because he is the MC. A slow-burn second life. Oliver actually has to grow up again. His adult memories don’t stop the years he spends in a child’s body from shaping and changing him. An original story. This is not a translated Chinese webnovel. The story is written in German first and then translated and adapted into English, at least for now. So please forgive the occasional unusual wording or phrase that slips through. Music, acting and life behind the scenes. Music and performance become important parts of Oliver’s second life. Expect rehearsals, stage performances and a growing involvement in the film industry, alongside the friendships and everyday moments that matter to him. Humour, heart and tragedy. There is plenty of banter and warmth, but the story also deals with grief, guilt and loss. Getting a second chance doesn’t mean that everything will work out the way Oliver wants.
