The Dragon's Power

Ethan has spent most of his life being overlooked. As the servant of Alistair, one of the kingdom’s most powerful wizards, that has never been a problem. Ethan stands in the background, listens, watches, and keeps his place. But Ethan is hiding something. There is power inside him, far more than anyone would ever expect. When circumstances force him to reveal even a glimpse of what he can do, Alistair realizes how dangerous the truth could be. Not because Ethan is a threat, but because of what others might do if they discovered what he is capable of. So his power remains a secret. Then something begins hunting. A creature known as the Watcher has emerged, leaving death in its wake. It is intelligent, patient, and drawn to both fear and magic. The more the kingdom learns about it, the worse the situation becomes. The very power that should give them an advantage may be exactly what the creature wants. Ethan can no longer remain safely in the background. To survive what is coming, he will have to grow stronger, discover what his power truly is, and fight beside people who can never be allowed to know just how powerful he may already be.
