Jim never expected much from life. At twenty-four, he’s drifting through community college, working a dead-end gas station job, and spending most of his free time gaming. He has no real plan for the future. Then a car crashes into his store. Jim wakes in the hospital paralyzed from the neck down, trapped in a body he can no longer control. The life he used to complain about suddenly seems perfect. Then he’s offered another chance. Not a cure. A new world. A world of levels, skills, monsters, and death, where power can be earned and survival depends on becoming stronger. Jim accepts. But this isn’t a game. There are no resets, no walkthroughs, and no second chances. And something inside Jim is beginning to awaken. Something hungry. Something made to hunt.
