Sharpened: Not All Weapons Are Born Of Steel

He has no past worth claiming. No family worth missing. No name anyone was allowed to speak, only the designation ARES gave him. For twenty years, Arka has been their perfect instrument: methodical, untraceable, incapable of hesitation. He has ended lives without ceremony and served without question, because questioning was never part of what he was built to do. Until the night they send him to kill the one man he ever called Father. His godfather's last words crack something open that twenty years of conditioning couldn't reach: his parents were Founders of ARES. They were murdered by their own for trying to dismantle the organization from within. And Arka has spent his entire life unknowingly serving the people who destroyed them. Now hunted by the organization that built him, Arka moves through a conspiracy that reaches the highest seats of political power, carrying evidence that could bring down governments, with no one left to trust. No one, except a woman he pulled out of the dark for the wrong reasons, who knows things she shouldn't, remembers things she can't explain, and is far more dangerous than she appears. The truth about who she is will come. And when it does, it will nearly kill him. In a world where every weapon has a maker, Arka is learning that being sharpened and being free are not the same thing.
