ÁLFAR: The Road to Álfheimr

A young mage has finished his training. A human wants to become his apprentice. Neither of them planned on finding a lost Elf child. Eyvind has finally completed his years of magical training and is free to travel wherever he chooses. On the road, he meets Leif, a young human determined to learn magic, and reluctantly allows him to come along. Their journey changes when they discover royal soldiers transporting a frightened young Elf girl named Álfdís. She has only one request: she wants to go home. Home, however, lies far to the north. What begins as an attempt to return one child to Álfheimr becomes a journey across kingdoms, forests, mountains and old places where forgotten stories are still alive. Along the way, they encounter strange creatures, ancient magic, human conflicts, and traces of a history that neither humans nor Elves remember in quite the same way. Eyvind thought his training had prepared him for the world. Leif thought learning magic would be an adventure. Álfdís only wanted to see her family again. None of them expected to become a family of their own along the way.
