An Eternal Sin

What is a "Sin"? Is it the desire to possess something that was never yours? Is it the envy you feel when someone else has what you long for? Is it the anger that remains when everything you love has been taken away? Is it the love that makes you willing to hurt someone else? Or is a sin only a sin when someone else decides that it is? If desire is natural, Why Condemn what it creates? If suffering can shape our choices, can we truly condemn the choices that follow? As long as human consciousness exists, so too will sin. We May disagree on what deserves to be called a sin, but perhaps that is the nature of being human. For as long as we have been capable of desire, we have also been capable of giving that desire a name. And perhaps no name has shaped humanity more than "Lumina". Long ago, Lumina was praised as humanity's greatest discovery, it was a force capable of changing the world itself, and humanity, as it always does, wanted more. And thus turned it into their worst nightmare, what was meant to heal began to consume, Entire Continents fell, species went extinct, and the world was left lawless. For three thousand years, humanity devoured itself in the pursuit of the same light it once worshipped, Until seven Radients rose to seal it away, ending the Great Luminar War at the cost of nearly all civilization, Now Centuries have passed since that day, and the scars of that brutal war have faded into legend, from the ruins of the old world, Life began anew, adapted to the new world. And in this new world, In the town named Lunewreth, a child named Arden lives a quiet life, untouched by the chaos beyond his horizon. But peace, no matter how gentle, is never eternal. And fate... had different plans for him.
