Vale Sol wakes on the outskirts of the ancient city of Ai with no idea how she got there. The city is now inhabited by the Gigabytes, who communicate through binary signals encoded by scarab-shaped devices behind their ears. But understanding the Gigabytes creates an even bigger problem.
