“Lo-Ruhamah has never been able to read the words etched in black across every inch of her skin, but she knows what they mean: judgement. She was once the friend and consort of the Shepherd, a strange god with flaming eyes, but her betrayal of him cost her everything. Yet when the Shepherd’s appointed agent, a mysterious temple slaughterer named Qanna, arrives to bring Lo-Ruhamah to judgement for her crimes, he is not what she expected - and neither is she. Together, they set out on a desperate quest to free Lo-Ruhamah from the curse written across her skin, and restore her to her true love.”
