Long before the first civilization, an existence unlike anything the universe had known emerged from the collision of stars.
The Entity.
It created Nexyr, shaped the mortal world, and entrusted ten Guardians with its protection.
Then it saw something no one else could.
A calamity.
A future capable of shattering the balance of the world and bringing ruin to everything the Entity had created.
The Entity chose not to interfere.
Instead, it left behind a fragment of its own existence and sent it drifting through the cosmos, waiting for the day its purpose would finally be fulfilled.
Eons passed.
The fragment reached the mortal world.
A child was born.
Astraeus Nyx.
His birth should have been nothing more than the arrival of another mortal.
Yet the moment he entered the world, the Divine Realm trembled.
The balance shifted.
Something stirred beyond the mortal realm.
And Astraeus knows nothing about any of it.
He knows nothing of the Entity.
Nothing of the calamity.
Nothing of the fragment within him.
But as he grows, he will discover that the world he was born into hides secrets far older than civilization itself—and that some things were never meant to be found.
One terrifying truth will eventually become clear:
The key to surviving the coming calamity lies within a single mortal boy.
He is no messiah.
He is no god.
He is what remains of an existence that foresaw the world's destruction—and left its creation to face its fate.
