Zev, a wolf captain, once charted the farthest island of the Vastis Ocean. Nobody cared.
Years later, the former captain repairs furniture for coin while his map ends at a blank western edge, and the oldest songs of his people still insist Father Moon waits somewhere beyond it.
When the First Marshal refuses to fund another voyage, Zev turns to merchants instead. He promises them new lands, new markets and a western route beyond the reach of their rivals.
He doesn't know whether any of those things exist.
He only knows that he cannot die at the workbench.
What begins as a search for Father Moon becomes a journey into unknown seas, unfamiliar civilizations, and the dangerous distance between discovering a new world and deciding what it is worth.
P.S. Beneath the wolves, gods and old songs, this is hard science fiction. The science is sciencing.
