PROLOGUE: THE WEAVER’S FLAME In the upper realms, power was measured in tears of reality. When a true elementalist was born, the sky bent. When a sovereign raged, entire continents turned to ash. For fourteen years, the grand halls of House Brown had known only a suffocating silence—a silence carved by the disappearance of a single child, swallowed by a rogue spatial tear that should have been impossible to open. In the highest spire of the Immortal Domain, Andrew Brown stood before a massive scrying mirror. His jaw was set like carved iron, his sharp green eyes blazing with a dangerous, violent light. Behind him, Heather Brown sat upon a high chair, her blonde hair catching the ambient glow of swirling mana. Her composure was pristine, but the carpet beneath her heels was charred black from the uncontained thermal energy leaking from her body. "We found the trail," Andrew whispered, his voice dangerously low. "The breach wasn't natural, Heather. Someone deliberately severed her core signatures and anchored her to a low-tier mortal plane." Heather didn't move. Her dark red lips parted slightly as a quiet, cold breath escaped her chest. "And her state?" "Suppressed," Andrew said, his fist clenching so hard the air around his knuckles cracked like miniature lightning. "She was placed with mortals. Abusive, worthless husks who couldn't recognize a god if one walked into their home. They forced her to sell fruit in the dirt. They let her starve." A subtle shockwave rippled outward from Heather, shattering the stained-glass windows of the spire into millions of shimmering, suspended dust motes. "She carries the pristine All-Element core," Heather said smoothly, though the absolute terror in her voice was unmistakable. "The divine affinity. A core that should command armies... left to bleed in an alleyway over the petty jealousy of mortal trash." "I am ready to flatten the plane," Andrew snarled, dark mana swirling around his arms like ethereal serpents. "I will tear the sky off that realm and bring her back in chains if I must." "No," Heather commanded, standing up slowly. Her aura expanded, suffocating the ambient light in the room until only her glowing ember eyes remained visible. "Force will only make her reject us further. She already believes we abandoned her. If we drag her back like a prisoner, we lose her forever." She stepped toward the scrying mirror, reaching out a pale hand to touch the glass, where a faint, bruised reflection of a blonde girl lay bleeding on cold, damp concrete. "Send Gerard," Heather ordered quietly. "Prepare the hospital suite in the lower mortal sector. Let her awaken on her own terms. Let her see the file, let her see the truth, and let her realize what she is." Heather stared into the glass, a cold, ruthless smile touching her lips as she watched her daughter's battered body faintly stir in the dark alley. "They tried to break a dragon by raising it among worms," Heather whispered. "Now, let us see what happens when the dragon opens her eyes."
