Set during the early years of the newly founded Ming dynasty, a dishonored Japanese samurai named Kagemori turned pirate sails west with the Kagero pirate clan. Their tactics and ruthlessness earned them a feared reputation across the South China sea. Seeking to abandon their old ways in search of more lucrative and respectable prospects, Kagemori is sent to fulfill the benefactor's request.
