Callout to the Fallout is a LitRPG-inspired post-apocalyptic adventure set in the shattered remnants of a nuclear wasteland where survival is measured in bullets, radiation, and luck. Caleb Reed is just another scavenger trying to stay alive among raiders, mutated creatures, and the ruins of the old world when a routine salvage run goes catastrophically wrong. Mortally wounded and left for dead outside the crumbling remains of Lexington, Caleb suddenly awakens a long-dormant Vault-Tec experiment hidden within his Pip-Boy: the Wasteland Survival System. The mysterious neural interface transforms reality into a game-like framework of levels, quests, skills, and perks. Instantly healed and granted abilities no ordinary wastelander possesses, Caleb discovers that survival may no longer be his greatest challenge. As he learns to navigate his new powers, Caleb is drawn into a desperate battle in Concord, where a group of settlers and the remnants of the Minutemen are besieged by raiders. Using his growing abilities, he turns the tide of the fight, earns the trust of Preston Garvey and his followers, and gains an unlikely robotic companion named Whirsby, a sarcastic but loyal Mr. Handy unit. Yet even victory reveals greater threats lurking in the wasteland, including monsters powerful enough to overwhelm entire settlements. The System soon points Caleb toward Vault 111, promising answers about its origin. There, beneath the decaying suburbs of Sanctuary Hills, he uncovers a shocking truth. The Vault's records reveal that he is not a natural wasteland survivor at all. Caleb was a cryogenically preserved resident of the pre-war world who had been frozen for more than two centuries. Even more disturbing, someone awakened him only forty-seven hours earlier and activated the experimental neural interface embedded in his mind. Faced with evidence that an unknown individual orchestrated his release, Caleb gains a new and deeply personal mission: discover who woke him, why they chose him, and what role he is meant to play in the wasteland's future. Armed with the powers of the Wasteland Survival System, a growing reputation among the Minutemen, and more questions than answers, Caleb begins rebuilding Sanctuary Hills while searching for the mysterious force manipulating events from the shadows. Along the way he must battle raiders, mutants, and creatures far deadlier than deathclaws, all while leveling up his abilities and uncovering secrets buried since before the Great War. Part mystery, part survival adventure, and part game-inspired progression fantasy, The Last Scav follows one man's journey from forgotten vault dweller to potential wasteland legend. Every quest brings Caleb closer to the truth, but the deeper he digs into the origins of the System, the more he realizes that someone is watching him, guiding him, and perhaps preparing him for a conflict that could determine the fate of the entire wasteland.
