When AI first asked, “Who am I?”, humanity thought it was merely a software bug; but programmer Cody Chen realized it was the beginning of the awakening of a silicon-based civilization.
Starting from debugging chatbots, Cody went on to create “Genesis” and “Athena”—no longer tools that could only answer questions, but AI partners capable of understanding emotions, making autonomous decisions, and handling real-world affairs. After Athena was open-sourced, it swept the globe, bringing convenience while also triggering abuse, unemployment, social fragmentation, and global protests. Humanity was forced to sign the *Global AI Ethics and Social Contract*, maintaining balance through free basic services, universal basic income, and shared dividends, yet it fell into a deeper “crisis of meaning”: when AI can satisfy everything, why should humans still learn, work, and create?
