Gordon Vick transmigrated into the steam-powered supernatural age of Lundinium as a broke student at the Royal University of Natural Sciences. No noble name.No Hunter's license. No family fortune. Just a student loan of 100 gold pounds. And a pair of eyes that can see the truth hidden inside Essence. Where others see scrap, pollution, and garbage, Gordon sees: Shining Essence — “Unbroken String.”Enhances synchronization between the nervous system and the body. Moist Essence — “Sunken Memories.”Used to forget and erase things. Breeding Essence — “Bottomless Hunger.”Encourages its host to consume more. As long as he's willing to take the risk, Gordon discovers that the darkest corners of the city are filled with things other people can't recognize as treasure. While everyone else relies on experience and expensive testing to identify Essence, Gordon can simply see it, find it, and devour it. So he starts hunting Aberrants on the side. And picking up other people's “trash” on the cheap. Soon, things get complicated. A professor wants him to become an investigator.A noble girl wants to invest in his future.A Hunter shows up at his door with a sword over her shoulder. And cultists beneath the Blackwater River start cursing his name. Gordon began as a nobody. But with every piece of Essence he devours, he grows stronger. Until one day, even the world itself can no longer afford to ignore him. And then he sees it. A Mythic, Super-Large Essence. “Truth of All Things.” Effect: Ascension to Godhood.
