In the near future, technology called SomniLink allows one person's biological need for sleep to be transferred to another person's brain. You don't actually have to sleep anymore. If you're wealthy, you can buy someone's sleep. Need eight hours of rest before an important meeting? Pay someone $10. Your body receives the neurological benefits of eight hours of sleep while another person's body enters the required sleep state. At first, it looks like a miracle. Then capitalism gets hold of it.
