Kael Cross is far stronger than he should be.
The problem is, he doesn’t remember why.
Before the Gates opened, Kael was nobody—an ordinary university student with average grades, no direction, and no idea how to fight.
Then monsters invaded Earth.
Humanity nearly fell, Kael awakened a System, and somewhere along the way, the nobody became someone capable of surviving things he never should have.
When the final battle came, Kael disappeared.
He should have died.
Instead, twenty-five years later, he returned.
The world had moved on.
New Hunters had risen.New Guilds had formed. And the Gates were still opening.
Kael remembers how to fight.
Sometimes.
His instincts are sharper than they should be.Techniques surface when he needs them. And pieces of a past he cannot remember keep appearing at the worst possible time.
Everyone around him wants to know who Kael Cross really is.
Unfortunately, Kael would also like to know.
History remembers Twelve Heroes.
The Thirteenth is a little harder to track down.
Especially when he has no idea what everyone is talking about.
This is the story of Kael Cross—a man trying to discover who he became, what he lost, and why the past refuses to stay buried.
