The apocalpyse happened and the system descended. With the world in a newly induced fantasy chaos arms race of power and prestige, some people have begun to pull ahead. Those who level first and fastest are the ones who get to decide what happens now, and the people who got access to the systems' first tutorial are already ahead of the curve. Milt isn't ahead of the curve. In fact, he's opted out of the curve entirely. Now, underpowered and outmatched, Milt has to deal with the whims of level hungry maniacs who have no time for someone whose most utilized skill makes books more immersive.
