Crystal Morgan, a young archaeologist publicly humiliated for her “mad” theories about ancient advanced civilizations, receives a mysterious invitation. On a storm-swept island off the Scottish coast she meets a man who calls himself Zeus — a being who has walked the Earth for forty thousand years. He is not a god of myth. He is the last civilian leader of the starship Atlantis, the vessel that brought the survivors of a dying world to Earth.Through holographic records Crystal witnesses the brutal landing, the cold mathematics of survival, the mercy that became murder, and the war between freedom and absolute control that has shaped all of human history. As she learns the true cost of immortality and the weight of decisions that still echo across millennia, Crystal must decide whether she will become merely a witness… or something far more dangerous.A story of gods who were only men, of love that outlasts empires, and of the price one soul paid to keep humanity free.
