Nott should have bled out in Varashroova.
A small wolfkin girl, mute since the night her throat was cut, with a scar she hides and twin axes she doesn’t. She speaks in hands, laughs without sound, and stays bright anyway because her brother Vidar is still here.
Something else stayed, too. An emerald light that sealed a fatal wound when she was a child. It lives under her skin now - warm, wild, and absolutely illegal.
In Lore, all magic belongs to the Fae. They drink Ichorwine in Tidallis and call it a gift. They build domes over the bones of older cities and call it order.
Nott just wanted to guard caravans and make enough to keep their cottage.
Then she bleeds green light to save a child, in front of a Fae magistrate.
Now she’s a fugitive with silver manacles, a brother who won’t leave her side, and a chasm that wasn’t there yesterday, torn open beneath Petirorin - the ancient city built inside a dragon’s skeleton.
Something ancient is breathing down there. And it knows her name.
